This week's reading - "Getting to Maybe: How the World is Changed, Chapter 1: The First Light of Evening" a quote really stood out to me. Found on page 34-35 "... We long for simple solutions to our complex social problems, our drawn to mechanical solutions prescribe one-size-fits all remeddies and measurable results, and often feel that the circumstances we face - politically, culturally and personally - are too overwhelming for us to take and positive action to change them." . This quote describes much of the world today - change is wanted, but no one wishes to take the time to implement such changes. Change is needed all around, and people often feel that such task is too big. Much like in elementary schools, children are simply looking for the easiest and fastest way to complete a task, regardless if it is the "best" solution. We have transformed into humans that are looking to finish a task the quickest way possible, even though this quick fixes often end up causing more issues in the long run.
