The first part of this activity was introduced by discussing 3 different ads, and their similarities and differences. This led to a conversation about an artist who pasted words and phrases on top of unrelated images that encouraged deep thinking, and started very interesting conversations in the classroom. Our task was to create our own small works of art using cut outs from magazines. We could use pictures and words in order to portray some sort of message. It was a very interesting activity as we were all given the same material, but each student's picture looked drastically different and represented a very different meaning.
Following this activity, we were asked to write some sort of provocative message on a long piece of paper. This message could be a statement or a question but had to cause people to feel something. We were then asked to place the message somewhere up in the school. This too was a very exciting activity because as we were leaving class, we saw many different messages, plastered all over the school that made you think very different things. The messages ranged from an order, a quote or a question.
Our group decided to ask the question "Did you do something today to make you a good person?"
