For our art for small hands activity, we wanted to keep it under the same concept of our LES. As our LES is based on walls and barriers, We wanted to look at something that would be interesting for kids. This is why we wanted to look at the barriers based on the environments of different animals. For example, a fish lives in water but cannot survive on land. We want students to explore what would a fish need in order to survive on land?
Each student will choose their own animal and make an animal in their environment and what they need to survive, On the other half of the paper, the students will create an alternative environment for their animal and make the adaptations necessary for their animal's survival.

We have decided to include a an attachment of the lesson plan for this activity as well as the video of the lesson we did with 3 young girls (ages 4 and 5).
